Scholarly sources are ones that were written by an expert or experts in a particular field, and have gone through a fairly rigorous peer-review process by fellow experts before publishing. You should see the authors credentials will have advanced degrees, they will likely be affiliated with a university or research center. Other clues that something is scholarly: sections, like an abstract, introduction, methods, results etc; in-text citations, it will be fairly lengthy, and have long reference list at the end.
