Students have to do a short paper / analysis on a significant educator, law, or educational technique. They are given a list to choose from. They usually need two or three sources, don't need to be scholarly. Some can just be websites. Newspaper articles are also good choices to recommend.
Can be hard for students to find good sources in Quick Search as most articles are far too in depth, scholarly and narrowly focused. They need more big picture overview type sources.
Put names of laws in quotes (example: "No Child Left Behind"). Use Newspaper search filter in Quick Search to find easier to read pieces. Also search names of educators in quotes to find articles about the person.
