Students need to conduct a literature review. Sometimes need to broaden their search terms. Tend to focus on extremely narrow topics - example, the effects of screen time on preschool children. Suggest searching more broadly on screen time in children and young adults of all ages. Also suggest they look for meta analysis articles or systematic reviews of the literature. These studies analyze the entire topic for them and help them parse out the studies that exist within their research areas.
